The Holy Father Has Appointed The Archbishop of Canberra and Goulburn, The Most Reverend Christopher Prowse as Apostolic Administrator of The Military Diocese of Australia.
Laudetur Iesus Christus.
The Holy Father Pope Francis has appointed the Archbishop of Canberra and Goulburn, The Most Reverend Christopher Prowse as Apostolic Administrator of the Military Diocese of Australia.

From 2016 Archbishop Prowse was also the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Wagga Wagga until the Holy Father appointed The Most Reverend Mark Edwards Bishop of that Diocese in mid-2020.
His recent successive appointments as Apostolic Administrator show that Archbishop Prowse is both well-trusted and favoured by the Holy See.
It is also inevitable that with the forthcoming Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide, the Chaplaincy of the Military Ordinariate will be called to substantially increase their size, allowing them to provide a more significant role in social and spiritual welfare, greatly increasing the importance of the Diocese.
Commentators have also noted that Archbishop Prowse's appointment may mean that he will have a critical two votes in the upcoming Plenary Council, although Vox Fidei could not confirm this.
Archbishop Prowse's appointment comes as new Defence Minister Peter Dutton, which Vox Fidei's sources suggest is a strong Catholic, takes reigns of the Australian Military in a move praised by many serving members and veterans.
