Our Expert Attended A Plenary Council Q&A Hosted By The Australasian Council of Church Reform; This Is How It Went...
Laudetur Iesus Christus.
Here we go again... the group of mature, predominantly white panellists began by savagely attacking their own Church, with hypocrisy and suggestions we need to be more like the Uniting Church.
Our plenary council specialist and Canon Law expert Associate Professor Roman Albright suggested that the group continued to have a poor understanding of the Plenary process, practical realities, theology and Canon Law.

Francis Sullivan: (The most overpaid and flamboyant Australian Church bureaucrat ever.)
Had a in today's plenary session about wanting women to preach.
"This issue [of rainbow people in the Church] is close to my heart."
"Back when scandals took place there were no women in Church governance".
"We need to break open the culture of the entitlement club." Mr Sullivan, isn't this a bit rich coming from you as a senior official in Church Governance, including a multi-million dollar pay packet?
"Orthodoxy in the Church alienates people."
"The language and the vibe of the of the Church no longer fits Catholics."
"The plight of the rainbow people must be stopped."
"Everything is on the table."
Kathleen McPhillips: (Alleged' Royal Commission Expert' with a messy bookshelf, never a good sign.)
"I am not involved in the plenary council."
"The Church should fund research into gender-based and LGBT violence because a lot of it stems from the patriarchy of the Church."
"We need to reframe the whole word religion."
"We should be sceptical about the way Church leaders talk about tradition."
"Why does the Church need to be different in the eyes of the law? Why can't we be more like the Uniting Church?"
"The abuse has not stopped."
"We need to look if Catholic gender theology is causing abuse."
"The hierarchical patriarchy needs to be addressed as soon as possible."
"Canon Law did a lot of harm."
"The Church needs to change its culture and Canon Law."
Anne Walker: (Another Alleged Royal Commission 'Expert')
"Safeguarding needs to be front and centre." What about God?
*Makes comparison between Abuse and ANZACS, as well as Abuse and the Holocaust.
"There is not enough focus on people."
"Ordained Brothers and Sisters are laypeople."
Danielle Lynch: (Liked and then unliked one of our stories.)
"Clericalism is abuse."
"Queer people are the Church."
"Should we take power away from the clerics?"
"Let's hope she [the spirit] guides us."
In Summary:
It continues not to be about God for these reformists; it is about Governance, petty politics, and "putting people first".
